Unwinds

The Henderson range of unwind units are designed and manufactured to suit customer preferences all ied with process requirements. All the units are designed with ease and safety of reel handling as high priority elements. The range of unwinds is suitable for use with a wide variety of materials from 10 micron film and foils through to heavy board and thermoplastic materials. Dependant upon requirements, we can offer Braked, Driven, Single or Multistation units. Auto Tension and Guidance systems are options available on all units.

• Duplex shafted unwind station, with sidelay and auto tension. Reels run concurrently and are pulled by a draw nip at the front of the unit and via a transducer roll for tension control. Web width 600mm, Speed 30m/min.
• Single station unwind with auto tension control. The unit includes a pnuematic clamp system to hold the web during reel change. Web width 1500mm, Max speed 150m/min.
• Shaftless unwind station guided with auto tension. The unit incorporates reel raising and lowering, with control via the remote operator panel located on the arm. Web width 500mm-1500mm, Max speed 550m/min.
• Guided unwind with ultrasonic reel diameter sensing for tension control via a magnetic particle brake. Web width 1200mm, machine speed 250m/min.
